![]() ![]() Those options should render using the video files properties. Then from Share have you tried the options top left for Same as Project Settings, and Same as First Clip, the latter probably the best option. Ken Berry as far as I know does have a GoPro camera and is more likely to be able to help hereĪs a thought, when you import your video to the timelines I assume you see a message to match the project settings and select yes / ok to that ![]() I do not have GoPro nor any H265 video other than a few samples so cannot really test Video Studio using H265Ĭorel Video Studio 2018 is a few years old now and as such would not be getting any updates from Corel, at least I would not think so Why I should run that program in windows 8 mode ?besides it runs buggy too ! I think a lot of people have gopro these days and it be nice to run that program smooth.īy the way when I with windows 7 32 bit hd5970 card edite stutering audio vodeo 4 k file from GOPRO 7 on TV it plays sound ok.Ĭonclusion is that with high configuration PC video ultimate 2018 works bad and there is bugs. OMG : the windows 7 32 bit old PC configuration was better !!!! So I several days try to find solution, because I want to use Ultimate video studio. Then I go for my PC upgrade: I buy new SSd 1TB and installed graphic card RX580+ windows 64 bit clean install with HEVC media pack from microsoftĪnd installed trial Video studio 2018 (my buyed license was win 7 32 bit ultimate 10)Īnd results is : Crashing program when point to 4K files and the mp4 full HD file downloaded from youtube plays with artefacts !!!! These days I buy Gopro 7 and try on that configuration above. The results was: 4K video plays and sound stutering in project timeline without any added efects(4k mp4 file size is 2.7 gb,the file is on SSD) Graphic card was old ATI HD5970.I long time edited my vacation videos and music video for car from mp4 youtube and from Panasonic photo camera 720p. My story is: I have i7 core,10 gb ram,128gb ssd disk with installed Windows 7 32 bit and already licensed Videostudio Ultimate 10. This case will be elevated to the Engineering team to have action against it.Īny replies or further communications, will come from me, once the Engineering team has provided a solution. Thank you for contacting Corel Technical Support.Īfter reviewing the facts before me, it has been found that the problem being reported is already known to us and has been reported to our Engineering department for review and action. I did get this message back from customer support a couple of days after my original post with regards to the ticket I opened: Just FYI, the Hero 7 continues the implementation of the H.265 codec first introduced in the Hero 6, which is the model I have. I understand he still has the audio stutter, which I think may be addressable through some configuration and/or usage settings. I interpreted goprofan's message, "thank you very much ! you really helped me! now program not crash." as meaning my solution did work for him. Hopefully, this info may be helpful to someone else. I tried passing this info on to technical support to update the ticket, but I don't think the person I spoke with understood what the workaround was. Lo and behold: Today I found a workaround! Changing the compatibility settings for VS to Windows 8 makes it work just fine! (See attached screenshot). It's been almost 2 weeks with no response back as of yet. I have been told it has been escalated to a higher level for resolution. I contacted technical support and (hopefully) updated the information associated with the ticket. Interestingly, Windows Movies & TV app (and the Cyberlink PowerDirector 14 that came preinstalled on the computer) both can play the H.265 videos, although the PD playback is pretty jerky. Other testing led me to believe it may have something to do with the video adapter in my computer (Radeon RX460) because the GoPro Quik editing software also has the same problem on the computer I have VS on but works just fine with H.265 videos on my laptop, which just has integrated Intel graphics. Just touching an H.265 video in any media import attempt locks up VS and requires killing it with task manager. I originally opened a ticket, thinking it was a problem with all 4K videos.įurther investigation led to the finding that it was not all 4K videos in fact it had nothing to do with 4K: it was any video recorded with the H.265 codec (which GoPro does for a number of resolutions at higher frame rates). When i tried importing some videos shot in 4K, VideoStudio would lock up. I have a new GoPro Hero 6 and recently also updated to VS Ultimate 2018. ![]()
